Band Spotlight: bedrumor

bedrumor is a rock band out of North Carolina that feels both familiar and refreshingly unique. Their sound sits at the core of soft rock, but they aren’t afraid to experiment—layering in subtle synth textures and folky acoustic elements that make their music a genuinely engaging listen.

The voice of the band is lead singer Lazuli, whose angelic vocals are impossible to ignore. Her voice often feels like a whisper directly in your ear—intimate, delicate, and deeply emotional. It’s the kind of vocal delivery that pulls you in quietly and leaves a lasting impression long after the song ends. Complementing her vocals is the band’s other member, Ryan Mole, who seems to handle the instrumentation across each track, crafting the lush soundscapes and musical components that gives bedrumor its distinct atmosphere.

bedrumor pairs fun, thoughtful lyrics with strong choruses and beautifully crafted instrumentals. Each track feels intentional, showing a band that understands their sound while still pushing its boundaries. Because of this, it’s easy to see bedrumor continuing to grow quickly and carving out their own distinct lane within the alt-rock space.

Their debut EP, Almost Normal, is a fantastic introduction to the band and a clear representation of who they are creatively. After spending time with it, you can’t help but wonder just how incredible a full-length album from bedrumor could be.

If you’re new to the band, the first song I’d recommend starting with is “same old stare.” It perfectly captures the mood, emotion, and potential that make bedrumor a band worth keeping an eye on!
