The idea for LIFE BACKSTAGE started 3 years ago when our team asked ourselves “why is there no music scene in our area?” 

We grew up on stories of our parents going to see iconic bands and musicians years before they were truly famous, and that is an experience that we crave! 

Our belief in why this does not exist anymore is that music used to start by growing locally! Your favorite band had to sell out the local bar before they could go perform on a festival stage, and that is not true in today’s industry. The internet and streaming has made it easier than ever for artists to get their music out in to the world, but it has also made it  over saturated and harder than ever to truly break through and create real fans. We have witnessed artists with tens and hundreds of thousands of followers who can’t sell out a small venue in their city! This needs to change.

We believe local artists should be rooted on by their city the same way their favorite sports team is! And the only way for that to happen is through real connection. When you are just coming up  people want to see you, hear you, and talk to you before they buy tickets to your next show. We are here to help artists make that happen.

Not only do we think it is important to localize music again, but we think it is important to give artists their flowers early and often. Our team knows how vulnerable being an artist is and how tough it is to keep going when you might not be achieving the success you imagined. We want to be here for you, be the flash light that shines on you before the spot light comes because you deserve it. Whether it be a spot on our playlist, an article on our website, or a cover on our eventual magazine; we want to show you love!
